Pony Club Meetings
Our meetings are held twice monthly at Hartenburg Equestrian Center. The meetings consist of a mounted meeting followed by a curriculum-based horse management meeting.
Mounted Meetings
-
Group lessons are held two Saturdays per month. Lessons are one hour. As the rider progresses to higher rating levels, the riding groups are changed. New riders will need to have their parents assist them with their horse care. D-2 riders and above are expected to do most of the horse care and preparation without assistance.
-
Preparing the horse and rider for the lesson takes 30-45 minutes. The horse should be well-groomed and tack cleaned prior to each lesson.

Horse Management Meeting
After the mounted meeting members will be led in a rating specific horse management lesson. This can vary from learning parts of the horse, caring for the horse to nutrition and first aid. The goal of these lessons is to educate and prepare members for their ratings and to foster a sense of responsibility.
